General Guidelines for the Detective Course Training Program
The Detective Course Training Program is based on Transversal and Specific Competencies and managed through Academic Credits by Agentes Privados Moch.
In response to a society that poses new demands and challenges to education in the field of higher Private Investigation, MOCH Incorporated has taken advantage of the enormous possibilities offered by ICTs to train quality professionals. This is achieved through a competency-based educational model, operationalized through academic credits, ensuring that graduates can integrate into an increasingly competitive global job market.
The goal is to move towards common training spaces, following the principles expressed in the Bologna Declaration, which facilitate student mobility based on their competencies.
Two Key Concepts in the New Educational Approach:
These concepts define the Curriculum Structure of the subjects in our course, which is based on the highest standards of education and professional training.
All subjects are grouped into 10 Modules of Subject Development. Each subject includes academic activities:
Element {ATTACHMENT}
This section includes explanatory videos and audios.
The audios and videos may not be aligned with the current course concepts, but they have been published for their informative and reflective value regarding the topic in development.
The system does not automatically control the review of audio or video, making it a purely OPTIONAL activity, and its content is not part of any evaluation.
Completion of this section is NOT GRADED.
Element {ROUTINE}
This section consists of implementing work or training routines for the detective on specific necessary skills and abilities.
This section does not have automatic system control.
Consider that many routines and strategies are optional for learning and are therefore part of the study material for the final module exam called {FINAL KNOWLEDGE TEST}.
Completion of this section is NOT GRADED, but its content is part of the study material.
Element {REVIEW}
In this section, the course student will review documents, environments, information, articles, and element descriptions.
This section IS GRADED MANUALLY by the assigned instructor, and its methodology and content are part of the study material.
Element {EXERCISE}
In this element, the detective must complete exercises such as essays, summaries, or research work, which are practical exercises applying knowledge, models, and detective strategies based on examples with development instructions.
This section IS GRADED MANUALLY by the assigned instructor.
Its content is NOT part of the study material for the final exam.
Element {QUICK TEST}
In this section, you will take a quick knowledge test on a specific topic, such as:
1.- A review of an element {TEXT} from the course. 2.- A specific topic from the guidebook: “10 Modules to Become a Detective, 2nd Edition.”
This test contains quick responses, with a short response time, and is AUTOMATICALLY GRADED by the platform’s system.
To successfully pass the test, the student must achieve a minimum score of ninety percent of correct answers.
{FINAL KNOWLEDGE TEST}
Finally, we have the final exam for each course module, which includes questions from:
1.- The sections {TEXT}, {ROUTINE}, {REVIEW}, {EXERCISE} of the module exam. 2.- The topics covered in the corresponding module of the guidebook: “10 Modules to Become a Detective, 2nd Edition.”
To successfully pass the {FINAL KNOWLEDGE TEST}, a score above seventy percent (70%) of correct answers is required.
The purpose of this element is not for the student to get stuck on an exam, but we do consider it a form of self-evaluation of knowledge.
This element is automatically graded by the system, where the student must achieve a score of at least 80 out of 100 to pass the module and continue with the course.
If the student does not achieve this score, the system blocks a new attempt for a period of 12 hours. We have found that this time can cause significant stress for the student, but we remind you that this course design aims to ensure that knowledge is acquired, not just reviewed.
CLARIFYING NOTES
- NOTE 1: In each chapter of the course and the guidebook, references are made to other books on specific topics; no questions will be asked outside the content of the guidebook and the topics within the course.
- NOTE 2: When all 10 modules are completed, the course administration will send all {REVIEW} and {EXERCISE} elements to an assigned instructor for review and grading.
- NOTE 3: If the assigned instructor’s review finds that the work has not been presented or has a grading value of less than 80 out of 100, the course completion process will be halted indefinitely, and the student will be asked to repeat the element. The student’s submission of the corrected work will be reviewed within a period of 1 to 3 weeks after submission.
- NOTE 4: We encourage students to carry out these activities with full dedication and effort to avoid repeating the activity, which would result in a considerable delay in course completion, as well as in obtaining the diploma and credential.
IMPORTANCE OF THE STUDY MODEL
The online education standard states that attempts should be made within 24 hours of the first failed attempt, then within 48 hours of the second attempt, and a third attempt after 7 days.
In our course, we have designed our own standard that allows a new attempt every 12 hours, and we have done so because we believe that is the minimum necessary time for the student to review all the content again and pass the exam.
With these supervised, optional, elective, and mandatory activities, we demonstrate our intention to provide comprehensive professional training.
Furthermore, in each course module, we have two evaluation systems:
1.- {QUICK TEST}: This system is quick, fostering rapid, superficial, and effective comprehension, promoting quick thinking.
2.- {FINAL KNOWLEDGE TEST}: This evaluation system is solid, broad, and deep, ensuring a global understanding of the module that promotes complex thinking.
