Requirements

The requirements to enroll in the Private Detective Course at Agentes Privados Moch, organized into five main sections:

1. Academic and Experience Requirements

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent in any modality (in-person, technical, or recognition through experience).
• Recognition of Prior Learning: Certificates from related courses (for example, in investigation, criminology, or security) and relevant professional experience may be accepted to accredit competencies through a portfolio.
• Experience: Many believe that prior experience is required to take a detective course, but in reality, it is not. The reason is that thousands of people possess the innate instinct of being detectives, but never encountered this profession. At Agentes Privados Moch, we value having individuals who, apart from becoming detectives, lead entirely normal lives—whether as homemakers or factory workers fulfilling labor roles. This has not only been observed by us; institutions such as the FBI or CIA often include these types of individuals in their elite personnel. Discovering such vocation from the perspective of an organization is a mission we pursue with consistency, as we firmly believe that within any person there may lie a Special Agent, a private undercover detective.

2. Mandatory Documentation

1. National ID or Passport updated (simple photocopy).
2. Passport-size photo updated.

3. Student Profile

• Minimum Age: 18 years old, or authorization from a guardian in the case of 16 to 18 years of age.
• Legal Status: No ongoing legal proceedings that would prevent training activities.
• Personal Competencies:
  • Confidentiality and professional ethics.
  • Observation and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate clearly.

4. Technical and Logistical Requirements

• Minimum Equipment:
  • Computer or mobile phone with Internet access.
  • Camera or mobile phone camera (for course exercises).
• Learning Platform: Our course is hosted on Moodle or a similar platform; the user must be familiar with basic tools for navigation and downloading materials.
• Recommended Software: Word processor (Word), PDF reader, photo viewer.

5. Recommended Prior Competencies

• Basic Digital Literacy: handling of email, web searches, and use of applications such as Word and basic-level photo cameras.
• Languages: Intermediate command of Spanish; each module includes readings and practical exercises in this language.
• Principles of Adult Learning:
  • Self-direction and practical application of content.
  • Valuing one’s own experience as a learning resource.
