Objectives of the Private Detective Course
General Objectives of the Course:
- Develop in the student an attitude aligned with the deontological principles of scientific investigation knowledge.
- Provide a broad vision of the reality of private investigation.
- Train the student in investigative techniques, provide conceptual tools, and develop the necessary skills for professional practice.
- Respond effectively to the social demand for professionals adequately trained in private investigation techniques.
- Offer a solid theoretical and practical education in the field of private investigation.
- Develop in the student the resources and knowledge necessary to meet the professional training requirements of Private Detectives.
Specific Objectives:
The objectives presented must be relevant and consistent with professional orientation, therefore the following are established:
- Analyze the functions, responsibilities, techniques, and organization of services inherent to a security and crime prevention structure.
- Develop the capacity for analysis and synthesis to support decision-making and problem-solving.
- Decide, reason, and argue professional actions in accordance with the Private Detective’s code of ethics.
- Identify and acquire information management skills to adequately plan interventions in investigations aimed at obtaining further data regarding a requested inquiry.
- Evaluate behavioral aspects that affect social conduct and understand the methodologies, techniques, and tools that must be applied in conflict transformation and resolution.
- Understand the principles of psychology that explain individual and collective behavior, as well as mechanisms of social influence.
- Develop strategies for the enhancement of social and communication skills.
- Promote attitudes of objectivity, impartiality, and equality in the handling of information and in interactions with individuals in a professional setting.
